Carlson Luke Maloney of Wallkill, passed away on February 23, 2021, in Valhalla, NY. He was 28.

The son of John Maloney and Wendy Cavanaugh, he was born June 16, 1992 in Kingston, New York.

Carl the “little boy with the yellow football” was a surprisingly talented kid-athlete who loved to play football and wrestle. He was a particularly talented baseball player who brought joy and thrill to all that watched. Later on as a young adult, Carlson found great pleasure in dirt bikes and turned to motocross racing for his next thrill. Some of Carl's biggest fans other than his parents were his Grandma Jean, Aunt Kathi and Aunt Pam. Carl graduated from the Modern School of Welding in 2014. He proudly traveled up and down the east coast for his repair work at numerous power plants. During his visits home, between jobs, Carl could never ask Mom enough if there was anything he could do. He was always considerate to others. Something she always insisted. Carl was a big fan of the family pets, he enjoyed teasing and playing with them. There always seemed to be a cat or dog sleeping on the bed with him.

In his down time, there was nothing Carl enjoyed more than hanging with his older brothers, JJ and Ryan. The competitive spirit and bond of the “Maloney” boys was 2nd to none.

Carlson,Carl,Carlman,LittleMan was a wonderful person who will be always loved and greatly missed.

Survivors include his Mother & Stepfather Wendy and William Cavanaugh and Father John Maloney, Brothers JJ & Ryan, Step Sister Corrin Ridolph, Step Brothers Stuart & Raymond Cavanaugh, several aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him very much.

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.”
