Safe Harbors celebrates Black History Month with two special events that come together for a virtual celebration on February 28.
The first is the Motown Tik Tok challenge. Create a Tie Tok to the sounds of Motown and it will be shared on the Safe Harbors Facebook Page.
Please send videos by February 17 to Maritza Calderon Caballero marimari1399@gmail.com or contact her for more information.
This program is presented in partnership with the African American Music Association.
Safe Harbors is also offering participants an opportunity to make their own handicrafts.

Pick up your DIY craft packages at the Lobby at the Ritz and join guest artist Khalidah Carrington of the Newburgh Performing Arts Academy, as she virtually walks participants through the creation of traditional African handicrafts in a series of guided how-to videos on Safe Harbors Facebook page February 28. All materials provided.
DIY craft packages, can be picked up at Safe Harbors Lobby at the Ritz, February 24 and 25 between 4 - 6 p.m. at 107 Broadway, Newburgh.
Any questions, please contact June Henley at (845) 784-1110.
