Ruth J. Drouin, formerly of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was 79. 

Daughter of the late Albert and Annabelle (Clooney) Boyle, she was born on December 4, 1941 in Waterbury, CT.

Ruth was a retired Pharmacy Clerk working for Cassidy’s Pharmacy and Stop & Shop Pharmacy, Newburgh. In her early years she worked at the West Point Mint and was a clothing model during her younger days. She enjoyed her local women’s bowling league, crocheting blankets and painting ornaments.  She loved her children fiercely and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Survivors include two sons, Steven (Denise) Drouin of Pittsboro, NC and Terry (Beatrice) Drouin of Wallkill; two daughters, Krista (Eric) Davis of Poughkeepsie, NY and Kim (Daniel) Johnson of Clifton Park, NY; three brothers, William Boyle, and John Boyle both of CT and Clarence Boyle of AZ; three sisters, Sandi  Nackowski, Robin Boyle and Roma Purcaro all of CT; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Grant, Terry Jr., Nicole, Paul, Matthew, James, Laura and Joshua; one great grandchild, AJ, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Henry F. Drouin, her husband of 58 years, her brother Charles Boyle and sister-in-law Darlene Bruneau.

Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Plans for Memorial Visitation and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ruth’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.

Arrangements are under the care of White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh.
