Reilly Benson leads Viking gymnasts

Reilly Benson won the all-around with 34.75 points as the Valley Central Vikings finished the season with 167.3-121.2 win over the FDR Presidents on Feb. 5 at Epik Athletics in Middletown.

The Vikings also defeated Kingston and New Paltz.

The Vikings ran their record to 8-0, finishing unbeaten for the third straight season.

Benson won the vault, uneven bars and the floor exercises and tied with teammate Eleanore O’Neill on the balance beam.
The Vikings took the first five spots on the vault and on the floor.

In the meet against Kingston and New Paltz, Kingston’s Estelle Sherron won the balance beam event and O’Neill and Benson finished tied for second.
