At the request of Public Works Chief Matthew Thorp, the village will go into Phase One water restrictions.
“The last month and a half, the water table has been low,” Thorp reported. “It takes twice as long to keep the water tower full.”
Thorp cautioned this is just a “precautionary” measure. Residents are advised that they cannot wash their cars with a hose and no watering of lawns. Should the village have to move to Phase 2, there would be a complete ban on any outdoor water use, Thorp said.
