The Town of New Windsor Board approved to extend the Halloween curfew per recommendation of the police department from Friday, October 28 to Monday, October 31 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. The curfew will expire in the town on Tuesday, November 1 at 6 a.m.
The curfew for the town will apply to all minors under the age of 18 except for those who are traveling to and from their places of employment or school activity, a medical emergency and who are in the company of their parents or guardians during the curfew hours.
Supervisor George Meyers stated that this curfew has been used for the past several years around the Halloween holiday period and looks to maintain the safety of all residents during the weekend.
