Matt Mercado and Christopher Leggett each won their 100th varsity matches on Saturday, leading the Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks to five wins on Saturday to win the Jeff Cuilty Duals wrestling tournament at Newburgh Free Academy.

The Goldbacks won all five of their meets, defeating Longwood, 38-29, Shoreman Wading River, 48-25, and finishing the day with a 51-15 win over Brewster.

The Goldbacks also defeated Christian Brothers Academy and North Rockland.

William Soto (101) had a pinfall victory and a technical fall for the Goldbacks. Cooper Merli (108), Leggett (215), Jordan Busby (116), James Corbett (124), Ivan Duran (138), Trey Walker (152), Mateo Morrell (160), Kayvon Haines (170) had pinfall victories for the Goldbacks.
