Forest Bathing with Jane Dobson

Mohonk Preserve

Join Jane Dobson, Mindful Outdoor Nature Guide, in the Japanese practice of Forest Bathing. Introduced in the 1980s, Forest Bathing began as a preventative healthcare practice to counter the daily stress of everyday life. Even after small periods of time in the forest, nature exposure reduces levels of the stress hormone cortisol and lowers blood pressure and heart rate. Phytoncides released into the air by trees boost our immune system and mood. Mindful connection with the outdoors is crucial for cultivating a balanced, inspired and fulfilled life. Ages 16 and up welcome. No pets allowed. Wear layers and proper footwear. Space is limited, registration is required. The cost per person for Mohonk Preserve members: $18/session, $51/series. The cost for non-members: $21/class, $58/series.
