Ellen “Bernie” Holcomb of Montgomery, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, in Kingston. She was 82.
The daughter of the late James and Bridget Currid McGowan, she was born July 4, 1938 in Sligo, Ireland.
Ellen worked respiratory technician at Horton Hospital, Middletown,. She enjoyed her Garden Club and the Town of Montgomery Senior Group.
Survivors include her daughter Mary Fraser and husband Ernie of Accord; son Vincent Barrett and wife Susan of Walden; daughter Laura Maxwell and husband Edward of Georgia; daughter Ellen Barrett of Goshen; seven Grandchildren Alicia, Kaitlyn, Sara, Jacqueline, Kyle, Michael, Emma; two Great Grandchildren Nora Rose and Hunter and brother Kevin McGowan and wife Mona of Ireland
She was predeceased by sisters Mary Christine McGowan, Peggy Smith, Josephine Buffardi, Cassie
A funeral mass will take place Friday, January 15,at 1 p.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery
Cremation will take place privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Hudson Valley Chapter, 2649 South Road, #101, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
