David J. Rotondo

David J. Rotondo, age 29, died suddenly on Jan 3, 2021. He was born 10 weeks prematurely and left this world decades prematurely.

He is survived by his heartbroken parents, Joseph (Tom) Rotondo of Walden, and Teresa (Terry) Robson of Maybrook. David also has two loving brothers, Ryan of Danbury, CT and Daniel of Maybrook, and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

David was very opinionated regarding the state of the world; the climate, overpopulation and the "obscene" amount of money politicians, athletes and celebrities have, while so many people are hungry and homeless in our country.

David enjoyed the great outdoors, working out, working with his hands, debating current topics and dreaming of some new invention or "get rich quick" idea and liked action movies, books, music and writing poems and songs. David loved his family and friends and defended them fiercely. Those that knew him described him as polite, hard working, a big mush, kind hearted, a great person and a beautiful soul along with a short fuse. He had a quick dry wit and boyish grin, twinkling brown eyes and charm.

The years of mental health issues, depression, prescription roulette on a developing brain, substance abuse and addiction proved to be his downfall. We always wished you a better, happy and productive life. Now we ask for peace. We love you. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Walden Humane Society.

Service is Saturday Jan. 16 3pm-5pm at Gridley-Horan Funeral Home, Walden.
