The Town of New Windsor Police Department is investigating damage that was done to close to 100 headstones and other property at the Calvary Cemetery, located at the intersection of Rt. 94 and Rt. 9W in the Town of New Windsor.

According to police, it appears that sometime between Saturday afternoon (July 27) and Monday morning (July 29) an unknown person or persons knocked over close to 100 headstones from gravesites and damaged numerous other items on the property.

The NWPD Detective Division is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the person(s) responsible for this damage. Detectives are currently conducting interviews, conducting neighborhood canvasses and reviewing video surveillance footage in the area.
