Highland Elementary PTA
to host a spring dance
The Highland Elementary School PTA will be hosting a Spring Dance for students in Grades 2-4 in the upper cafeteria on Friday, April 19, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 pre-sale and $15 the day of the event and at the door. The price includes professional photography, a snack and drink, and a DJ. Additional snacks and drinks can be purchased for $1 each.
Please note: This is NOT a drop-off event. A parent/guardian must be present (no siblings).


A Fun-filled Afternoon with Modena Ladies Auxiliary
The Modena Ladies Auxiliary proudly presents “Gift Card Bingo,” an event designed to bring friends and neighbors together for a day of entertainment and friendly competition.

It takes place on Saturday, April 20 at the Modena Fire House at 1953 RT44/55, Modena. Doors will open at 12 p.m., and the rounds of Bingo will commence promptly at 1 p.m.

Gift Card Bingo offers participants the chance to win fantastic prizes in the form of gift cards from various popular retailers. Each entry ticket is priced at $30 per person, which includes a $5 entry fee and a $25 Bingo card book with a dauber. Additional Bingo sheets will be available for purchase.

This event is open to individuals aged 18 and older. Whether you’re a Bingo enthusiast or looking for a fun-filled afternoon, all are welcome to join in the excitement. As an added bonus, there will be a 50/50 raffle for those feeling lucky.

Delicious refreshments will also be available for purchase throughout the event, ensuring that everyone stays energized and satisfied.

Blossom Street Fair blooms with food, fun, and community spirit
Residents and visitors alike are gearing up for the annual Blossom Street Fair, set to take place this Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Located on Main Street in the heart of Milton, this event promises a day filled with delectable treats, lively entertainment, and opportunities to support local businesses and organizations.

Food enthusiasts will be delighted by the array of options available from food trucks and local vendors. Empanada O Nada, Pops Place, Robles Catering, and the Milton Fire Department’s Hot Dog Wagon are just a few of the culinary delights on offer. In addition to antalizing food options, the fair boasts a diverse lineup of activities and live entertainment for all ages. Attendees can embark on a Blossom Tour Hay Ride courtesy of Locust Grove Fruit Farm, witness impressive martial arts demonstrations by Rook Karate and Fitness, LLC, and groove to the smooth sounds of the Marlboro Middle & High School Jazz Band. For animal lovers, the Quimby Farm Barn Animal Exhibit promises a delightful encounter with farmyard friends.

Families can capture memories at the Hay Bale Creation Photo Op and admire the impressive Tractor Display while browsing the offerings from local farms and wineries. Windwood Farms, Pancake Hollow Sugarworks, and Quimby Farms will be showcasing their finest products, including honey, maple syrup, jams, and cheese.

Local businesses will also be out in force, with Frida’s Cafe & Bakery, Red House Restaurant, and Locust Grove Brewing Co. among the participating establishments. Visitors can shop for unique crafts and goods from a variety of vendors, including Tastefully Simple, Aurora Jewelry, and Bedecked, Bejeweled & Bedazzled.

Plattekill Library presents an Earth Day Art Class
Plattekill Public Library is excited to announce an Earth Day Art Class with professional children’s artist and author, Kat Strickland. The event will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing a drop-in session for participants to join at their convenience.

Participants will engage in eco-friendly creativity by crafting flowers and farmers using recycled materials. Under the guidance of “Miss Kat” and her team of assistants, attendees will explore their imagination and bring their artistic visions to life.

Plattekill Fire Department auxiliary to hosts Pasta Dinner
The Plattekill Fire Department Auxiliary is gearing up for a delectable fundraiser, inviting the community to join them for a Pasta Dinner on Saturday, April 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the firehouse, 50 Old Firehouse Rd., Plattekill.

The menu will conclude salad & bread, spaghetti with meatballs & sausage, dessert, and beverage. Admission is $12 for adults or $10 for kids 12 and under.
