All Day Hike to Scenic Napanoch Point at Minnewaska

Posted
Join Sarah LaLumiere, Student Conservation Association/ Americorps member, for this twelve mile hike to scenic Napanoch Point. Though the distance may be long, we will be walking along carriage roads the entire way. We will start out on Lower Awosting Carriage Road, and then make our way to the picturesque Smiley Carriage Road, both of which include extended hills. The view from Napanoch Point, especially if there's colorful fall foliage, is very picturesque, encompassing much of the Rondout Valley. Hikers must come prepared wearing proper footwear, and bring enough food and water for the day. Due to COVID protocols, the total number of participants for this program is limited to twelve individuals. All participants must wear face coverings or keep a minimum six foot distance away from others who are not part of your immediate household. Meet in the Awosting lot near the kiosk. Pre-registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752. Registration: Required
