Jake W. Collins, of Wallkill, entered into rest on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was 26.
Son of Dr. Paul Collins and Sherry (Bobrovsky) Collins, he was born June 15, 1997 in Mount Pleasant, NY.
A lifelong area resident, Jake was a truck driver for Schneider Trucking, NJ. He was described by family as being like an angel and having a huge heart. He took pleasure in hiking and nature. He enjoyed reading, was very athletic and had a talent for playing guitar. So kind and thoughtful, his loving nature shined always and to all. Gone much too soon, what a blessing to have known such a beautiful soul.
Survivors include his wife, Jiawen Tu of Wallkill; his father, Dr. Paul Collins of Wallkill; his mother Sherry Collins of Marlboro; a brother, Daniel Collins of Cairo, NY; and a sister, Megan Collins of Binghamton, NY.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road Newburgh.
A Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 pm at the Funeral Home.
A Brief Prayer Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
