Impeachment damaged our country

Posted

As I indicated in an earlier letter, impeachment was going nowhere and most people, including Democrats, knew it. The charges, abuse of power and obstruction of congress, even if true, were not enough to impeach a president. These charges could have been leveled against any president, starting with George Washington.

It was all about trying to dirty up the president for the 2020 election. Impeachment chairman Adam Schiff was like a dog trying to urinate on a tire on a Rolls Royce and then bragging about it.

It was important to the impeachment Democrats to portray Joe Biden as a formidable candidate. He will, as they say now be thrown under the bus since it is well known that he is not a good candidate.

While Schiff and the other impeachment people are high fiving each other over what they did, they should be reminded of the damage they did to our country. All future presidents can now be subject to impeachment by the opposing party even with vague charges. What a shame.
