Highland High School PTSA Spring Festival Craft Fair
The Highland High School PTSA is hosting a Spring Festival Craft Fair on Saturday, April 25th from 9am-4pm.
The HHSPTSA is currently taking applications for vendors to support their craft fair. If you have any questions, or are interested in receiving an application please call Jan at 917-709-0538 or email Highlandhsptsa@gmail.com.

Sunrise Stroll
The early bird gets the view! Join your fellow early risers to celebrate the first Sunday of Spring with a Sunrise Stroll on the Walkway. Enjoy the sunrise and Walkway’s spectacular views of the Hudson River Valley. The east and west gates to the Walkway will open at 6:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
Location: Walkway East (Poughkeepsie) and West (Highland) Entrances
Time: 6:30 a.m. opening at both gates, however the group walk will begin from the east gate promptly 6:30 am. The cost FREE to Walkway members. Donation encouraged for non-members.

Document Shredding Day
Walkway Over the Hudson is pleased to partner with Hudson Valley Credit Union to offer complimentary document shredding services in the Haviland Road parking lot steps away from the Walkway’s West Entrance at 87 Haviland Road in Highland. The shredding day will occur on April 25 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Thanks to Legal Shred for providing shredding trucks.
These events attract a large number of people that will likely result in wait times of 15-60 minutes. Walkway Ambassadors will be on hand to assist, and all participants are encouraged to take a stroll on the Walkway following drop-off.

Annie Auditions
The 90 Miles Theatre Company Inc. is holding auditions for their October 2020 performance of Annie. The auditions will be held on Friday, June 5 6 - 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 6 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at 8 Brookside Road in New Paltz. Callbacks will be held, by invitation only, on June 7th.

Weigh in on NYS Graduation Requirements
Please join NYS Regent Josephine Finn, 3rd Judicial District, and the regional BOCES District Superintendents from Ulster and Sullivan Counties on Wednesday, March 4, at Ulster BOCES, 175 Route 32 North, New Paltz, from 5-7 p.m. to share your thoughts on what a diploma should signify to ensure educational excellence and equity for every student in New York State

Upcoming Events at the Highland Public Library:
An Evening with Opera. Feb. 20, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. A retired seeing-eye dog, Opera is our new therapy dog friend, and reading buddy, who loves to listen to a good book! Come and read with Opera! Open to those in grades K-5. Registration required.
Tunes n’ Tots. Feb 24. 11 – 11:45 a.m. Come join us for music, movement, a story, parachute fun, and a craft! Registration required and will begin 30 days prior to event! First preference will be given to those residing in the Highland Central School District.
Library For All. Feb 24. 1 – 1:45 p.m. A disability should not prevent anyone from using the services of the library. Library For All is an adaptive program designed for the needs of adults with developmental, intellectual, physical and cognitive disabilities. Join us for various games, crafts and activities. Tween and Teen Open 3D Print. Feb 27, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. Come to our open 3D Printing lab to design an object of your choosing to be printed! This program is recommended for those who have attended an Intro to 3D to Printing class, but all are welcome to attend. Highland patrons will be given first preference for this class. Participants must be in at least 4th grade to participate.*
Introduction to Essential Oils. March 19, 6 – 7:45 p.m. Learn about the historic value of essential oils and how you can use them. Independent Wellness Advocate Patricia Cifone will give a basic overview of what essential oils are.
