Walden Savings Bank (WSB) Vice President of Business Development Bill Vacca was recognized for his leadership in business at this week’s 2019 SUNY Orange Foundation Leadership Awards. The event celebrated the accomplishments of SUNY Orange alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their organizations and communities.

“I am extremely honored to be recognized for this award by my alma mater,” said Vacca. “My SUNY Orange education provided an outstanding foundation for my career and continues to prepare its students for exciting futures!”

Vacca attended SUNY Orange before serving in the US Army for two years. A New Windsor resident, Vacca has 52 years of banking experience and has served as WSB’s Vice President of Business Development since 2013. He is responsible for assisting branch managers with existing clients and prospects and promoting bank products and services. Vacca also works closely with new businesses as part of the Bank’s commercial lending team.

“This is a fitting honor since Bill is such a perfect role model for young people entering the business world,” said Derrik Wynkoop, President and CEO of Walden Savings Bank. “His work ethic and commitment to delivering excellence for our customers is why he’s come so far in his professional life.”

Also active in his community, Vacca serves as President of the Board for Orange & Sullivan ARC, Chairman of the Hudson Valley Food Bank Advisory Board, and is a Board Trustee for SUNY Orange. Previously, he served on the board for Patterns for Progress, Amos & Sarah Holden Home, Orange County United Way, Junior Achievement, Cornwall Hospital, Orange County Chamber of Commerce, Orange County Partnership, and American Heart Association Heart Walk.
