“Say no to the consumer culture. Freecycle! Bring your unwanted goods and take home what you want. Good for people and good for the earth. Reduce, Reuse, Upcycle!”

That’s the message from the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Rock Tavern which is conducting a free Trash 2 Treasure event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. People are encouraged to bring their unwanted goods and to take home what they want.

“Reuse, upcycle, do your spring cleaning and bring us – in good condition – what you don’t want,” the organizers note. Leftovers will be given to charity. Donations are accepted after 9 a.m. Early birds will have to wait outside or help with set up.

For information email verneMB@aol.com or call Verne at 845-569-8965. The congregation is located at 9 Vance Road just off Rt. 207 in the New Windsor hamlet of Rock Tavern.
