Parents are you looking for something for your kids to do this summer being summer camps have been canceled all around due to Covid 19? Make sure to check out Amped for Camp at www.ampedforcamp.com. Amped for Camp is a summer camp program that kids can do from home. Kids can log on every day to get their schedule of activities and games that they can do from home. This is not a virtual camp because we are not looking for kids to be on computers all day, they had enough of that doing virtual school. They will just sign on in the morning to find out what to do then head outside. Then they will finish the afternoon by signing back in to recap their day and to give their feedback and to see what they have to look forward to the next day. They will be interacting with Recreation Directors from many different towns as well as other campers from all over the Hudson Valley. This program is 100% free and runs for eight weeks. Besides New Windsor recreation professionals from all over the Hudson Valley are contributing to this program by sharing games, arts and crafts, special guests, cooking demos, how to projects etc. Kids can follow the schedule in order or do things at their own pace. Being that we are not having summer camp due to Covid 19 we still wanted to make sure to give kids as close to a summer camp experience as possible. Please make sure you have your kids check it out!

Join the Town of New Windsor for a Drive In movie in the park to see the movie Rocky Balboa on Saturday August 8 at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park. With most all events having to be canceled due to the pandemic this is a great way to get together with your community and still be able to stay safe and social distance by watching the movie from the comfort of your car. Kids can wear their pajamas and slippers if they want. This is the first in a four-part series that is being sponsored by Anheuser-Busch MCC. Thank you so much to them for their generous support. We hope to see everyone out at the movies. The movie will start at roughly 8:30 p.m. or as soon as it is dark enough, and is open and free for all.
