Not muddle, but merit

I have known Patricia Mullarkey most of my life. Anyone using the word “muddle” in reference to her obviously does not know her. Pat has always been an outstanding member of the New Windsor community, volunteering her time and talents for the betterment of our town long before she ever considered running for Councilwoman, ask anyone!

Pat has been an extraordinary member of the New Windsor Town Board, and she brings an institutional knowledge not held by her opponents. Her current role as Deputy Supervisor is nothing new to her. She has performed that role successfully under both Supervisor George Myers and Supervisor George Green.

I imagine, since octogenarian is spelled out in Ms. Mazzola’s letter, it is meant to have a negative implication. It’s unfortunate that Ms. Mazzola has what appears to be a distain for senior citizens and undervalues their abilities. Let’s hope that Ms. Mazzola’s candidate doesn’t harbor the same distain.

Some of Pat Mullarkey’s recent accomplishments:

• Trustee for the National Temple Hill Assoc. (preserving New Windsor’s History).

• “Ring the Bell Award” for outstanding service to the Newburgh Enlarged City School District.

• Campaign Chair for the re-election of Senator Wm. Larkin.

• Chairwoman for special events for Senior Citizens of New Windsor.

• Woman of the year award for New York State’s 99th Assembly District.

• Co-Founder of the highly successful “New Windsor Community Day” (45,000 attended in 2019).

• Longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church, New Windsor and Sacred Heart Church, City of Newburgh.

• Longtime member of “The Catholic Daughters of America”.

I can’t think of anyone who has done more for New Windsor or is more capable than Pat Mullarkey. She will continue to advance our town, our residents and our businesses.

Vote for Pat Mullarkey!
