Shaylea Triller had the top finishes for the Newburgh Free Academy girls’ swimming team as the Goldbacks finished seventh with 130 points.

Triller took fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.59 seconds. She was also fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.86.

Meghan Wurster finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:33.59. she also took ninth in the 200-yard freestyle.
Newburgh’s 400-yard freestyle relay team of Megan Cameron, Wurster, Jordyn Bryant and Triller provided Newburgh’s best result in a team event, taking fifth in 3:56.44.
The Goldbacks were eighth in the 200-yard medley relay and sixth in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Megan Cameron took 16th in the 200-yard individual medley. Melissa Scarano was 16th in the 100-yard butterfly.
